With over 40 years in the game, street and surfwear imprint Stussy has been no stranger to collaboration in its years, and for good reason. now being one of the largest streetwear brands on the planet, Stussy has become far beyond respected, leaving its doors open for collabs with an range of brands, artists and even musicians.

Just recently, Stussy joined forces with giants of the football game Paris Saint-Germain, to produce a signature home set for the Parisian football imprint. This collaboration alone just begins to illustrate the large wealth of Stussy’s collaborative history with both expected and unexpected allies.

Each year, we’re seemingly treated to an range of collaborations from the LA-born brand, so we here at The Sole vendor thought we would recount some of our favourites from past years. From its various link-ups with footwear huge Nike all the way to its celebration of hip-hop and other subcultures, we’ve picked only the best to be featured below.

Stussy x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 Fossil

In 2020, we saw Stussy join forces with Nike for a fresh iteration of its Spridon 2 silhouette. The Spiridon Cage 2 itself was first released in the early 2000s as a premium athletic shoe, but this collaboration instead sought to breathe fresh life into this forgotten classic.

The result was a revitalised lifestyle addition, complete with razor-sharp looks and tasteful co-branded logos. With Nike Zoom technology developed into its foundation, the Stussy x Nike Spiridon 2 was ready to offer both comfort and style to its wearer, making it a certified classic for streetwear enthusiasts around the world.

This is the first but certainly not the last of the Nike x Stussy collaborations you’ll see on this list.

Arriving later in the year after its Spiridon 2 counterpart, we saw Stussy x Nike join forces once much more to reinvigorate a certified legend. The Stussy x Nike Air force 1 collaboration sought to strengthen the duo’s collaborative bonds while delivering style numerous sneakerheads couldn’t wait to get their hands on. arriving in both “Fossil Stone” and “Black” colourways, this AF1 sports a distinct woven-styled upper alongside monotone styled branding, ideal for those who choose controlled and minimalist style.

Back in 2017, Stussy x new balance collaborated to deliver a high-profile update to one of the brand’s many renowned silhouettes. While this collaboration can still be purchased for eye-watering resale prices, one can’t help but wonder how much much more hype it would have gathered if it launched during new Balance’s recent popularity wave.

The shoe itself sports an off-white base colour, gone along with by refined shades of beige, making this the kind of shoe you don’t want to wear when the weather is bad. In addition to its striking appearance, this shoe also boasts a cushioned insert, implying comfort is both considered and provided to its wearer.

Stussy x supreme

What happens when two of the largest streetwear brands in the world collide? Apparently, it’s this T-Shirt. In 2010, Stussy x supreme joined forces to produce a piece of streetwear history with these limited edition co-signed tees. The t-shirt itself was made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Stussy and boasts Supreme’s signature box logo along Stussy’s logo scrawled in a graphic-styled font.

In addition, we see a “skate tough” graphic from the ‘80s that echoes back to both supreme and Stussy’s skateboarding roots. Nowadays, the tees are near impossible to cop, with the occasional piece only popping up on Grailed every so often. really a grail piece for any major collector.

Continuing with the theme of Stussy working together with other streetwear giants, we now see Stussy x BAPE. despite recently working together for a selection of trucker hats, Stussy & BAPE’s history as a duo dates all the way back to 2010, when they linked up to produce a capsule collection of collaborative goods. These pieces featured Stussy’s graphical and graffiti themed elements working alongside BAPE’s renowned camouflage.

Following this, the two brands also linked up again in 2013 to produce a G-Shock view alongside CASIO as well as a collection entitled “ILL COLLABORATION” that celebrated A Bathing Ape’s 20th anniversary. The standout piece from this collection was a black, red and cream varsity jacket that arrived complete with a co-brand BAPE ape logo alongside a Stussy dual-S on the chest.

Stussy x A tribe Called Quest

To mark Stussy’s 35th anniversary in 2015, the brand chose to link up with no other than the legendary rap group A tribe Called Quest. The collab also celebrated Stussy’s 25 anniversary in new York City, the place which A tribe Called Quest call home. In the collection,we see a range of designs that pay homage to the rap group.

Highlights from the collection include a selection of t-shirts featuring a printed graphic of the hip-hop quartet, with Stussy’s scrawled logo appearing as a backdrop. other additions see the studio artwork from the group’s 1991 album The low end Theory. This artwork boasts an alluring Afrocentric design with shades of red and green working in contrast to the base layer.

While these two brands don’t share much in common, it didn’t stop them from creating a range of highly sought after collaborative products. In 2020, Stussy x Our legacy first teamed up to produce a selection of artful and contemporary additions. Within this collection, we saw hoodies, tees, lightweight jackets and much more, all arriving with a range of playful logos and designs.

In addition, the duo worked together again in late 2021 to produce the Stussy x Our legacy Workshop range – a selection of nuanced takes on contemporary styling with archival fabrics and unexpected textures all featured.
